Captain's Log
Happy Monday! :)

The oppressive heat and humidity last week in the East has been replaced with a much more comfortable air mass to start the week. The excessive heat out West looks to shift a bit toward the Northern Rockies and West Texas next week.

log 1

The July 4th holiday weekend does look to heat up a bit for the Northeast and it remains hot out West. Stormy conditions continue for the Northeast and Southeast but doesn't appear to be a washout of a weekend.

JULY 4TH WEEKEND

June is trending quite a bit cooler than last year's excessively hot/dry month with the coolest June in 3 years and 7th wettest of the past 26 years for the U.S. overall. The Southeast has experienced the greatest shift trending the coolest in 12 years. No drought in the Northeast or Southeast this year! The weather trends continue to play havoc for retailers although not as extreme as March and May. WTI was mentioned in this NBC NEWS story.
