April 5th, 2013 | Sal OrobelloThis week marks the 39th anniversary of the Super Outbreak of tornadoes on April, 3-4 1974. It was the worst tornado outbreak in United States history. There were 148 tornadoes reported in 13 states, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, & New York. 30 tornadoes were F4 and 6 were F5. There were 330 deaths and over five thousand people were injured. The damages cost them billions of dollars. This was so unpredictable and devastating that many people believe it won’t happen again in the next 300 years. Some of you may remember this worst tornado outbreak in history.

A March Without Spring is WAY Better Than a Year Without Summer!
March 15th, 2013 | Krissy KlingerMaybe it was that dastardly prognosticating rodent’s inability to see his shadow that gave people false hope of an early Spring, but I’ve sure heard a lot of people in the Northeastern U.S. complaining about how it’s not fair that the cold of Winter is hanging around in March this year. Well folks, fair is where you get cotton candy, but getting back to the point, cold weather in March is not all that uncommon, we were just spoiled last year.

Well, on that rainy morning the General being the epitome of an officer and a gentleman he had an umbrella ready to greet the Queen when she would get out of her car arriving at Central Command, MacDill AFB, Tampa Florida. As she got out of the car she slipped due to the wet conditions but the General saved the day eloquently holding the umbrella and reaching to keep the Queen from falling. BUT, big BUT,

The Apocalypse or Just a White Christmas?

Black Friday 2012: Weather or Not to Shop?

Retailers duke it out for customers by slashing prices in hopes of attracting the largest crowds, but weather also plays a role in customer turnout and there’s not much retailers can do about that. Oil those shopping cart wheels and warm up those credit cards, as we find out where shoppers will be camping out in the rain and where they will be sleeping under the stars on Black Friday.
