Happy Monday...especially happy if you're off today enjoying President's Day.



Much of the country is now below average with only Florida escaping the cold. CLICK ON IMAGES FOR A LARGER VIEW.

This week (18-24 Feb) trends the coldest in 4 years, 5th coldest in 30 year, #1 wettest in 30 years and snowiest in 4 years for the U.S. overall. The East will continue to the up and down roller coaster ride for temperatures turning colder through mid week then milder by the weekend. The cold remains entrenched for the entire West but that is changing.

The 5-day snowfall outlook shows a couple more systems for the Midwest and Northeast. Heavy snow from Nebraska to Wisconsin will be the favored track for the next few storms with a widespread swatch of 8-24" over the next 10 days.

The Polar Vortex is still bringing glancing shots of cold air to Eastern North America into early March so Winter is by no means over.

Next week (25 Feb - 3 Mar) shows nearly the entire country with below average high temperatures with the U.S. overall trending coldest in 4 years, 11th coldest in 30 years, and finally DRIEST IN 3 YEARS and 3rd Driest in 30 years but snowiest in 4 years. It's been a long time since we've said the U.S. would be the 3rd driest in 30 years, a welcome change for the soggy country.

We're doing a test on our YouTube channel to see if the correlation plays out that more Angelina Kirk photos translates to higher view. ;) Shared a bunch of photos of the little one in her new play room castle that turned a dungeon of a basement into a castle for the little girl. We'll let you know what our statistical analysis shows next week.
